Programa do Curso "Autonomia e Direitos na Modernidade".

Objetivos do curso:

Discutir o desenvolvimento histórico das proposições relativas à autonomia e emancipação do sujeito, individual e coletivo, na modernidade.

Analisar as diversas implicações desse processo, especialmente no campo ontológico e político - a questão dos direitos fundamentais e individuais - e seus efeitos na experiência religiosa, existencial e ética contemporânea.

Ementa:

Transformações históricas no limiar da modernidade e suas implicações ontológicas. A crise decorrente da crítica bíblica, o ceticismo religioso e seus efeitos sociais e políticos gerais. Dimensão histórica das vagas anti-religiosas no Ocidente. Natureza do Iluminismo e a emergência definitiva do tema da autonomia do sujeito. Direitos naturais e direitos do homem, perspectivas ontológicas, dimensões revolucionárias. A crítica da religião e a construção dos fundamentos filosóficos e existenciais do Estado laico a partir da soberania do sujeito. Novas experiências existenciais na modernidade. Processos de secularização e suas implicações políticas e religiosas. A modernidade e as relações entre ciência, religião e política.
